Upon entering each new milestone location, the walkthrough prioritises obtaining free rest. In only one of the paths from the divergence point will we progress far enough to hit the final point of no return after The Bloom, in entering the endgame portions of the story within The Labyrinth. In each path from that divergence point, we will again enter a point of no return when entering The Bloom. We will be keeping a permanent save file at Miel Avest, as mentioned above, which will act as our divergence point - from this divergence point, we will have two paths to progress the game on, making our companions love us on one path, and making them despise us on the other. By the time we enter the Valley, our primary party companions will each have a "neutral" opinion towards the main character.įrom the Valley of Dead Heroes, we hit another point of no return as we reach Miel Avest. Leaving Sagus Cliffs is a point of no return as we transition to the Valley of Dead Heroes. We will initially start with a set of locations to explore, known as Sagus Cliffs. This point of divergence happens at a location in the game called Miel Avest. There are a limited number of opportunities to influence their opinions, and so it is for these two achievements in-particular that we will keep a saved game file and diverge briefly to unlock some achievements on our path to Despised, before then reloading that saved game file and continuing on down the path of unlocking other achievements as we reach for Beloved. This would appear to be quite difficult at first, as there are two achievements - "Beloved" and "Despised" - that contradict each other, and the Despised achievement in-particular requires vigilant attention of how you impact the opinions of the companions in your party. We will be unlocking all the achievements in essentially one single play-through. Structure One Playthrough with a "Divergence" Point The walkthrough you're reading now, however, will lay out a roadmap to unlock all the achievements in the most optimal method I could find. I could only find one walkthrough that was pretty good, and even then that particular walkthrough required the reader to plan how they were going to unlock achievements. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have much walkthrough coverage online. I find Torment to be an enjoyable but flawed game.
